Spring flower earrings (project 46 of 50)

It’s spring in New Zealand – well some days it is … but the spring flowers are already out and lifting our spirits. I took my inspiration from these cheery flower beads, and teamed them with crystals to make fresh flower fancies.

 

Skull flower earrings (project 13 of 50)

Continuing my deathly theme – here two of my beading purchases happily came together.

The flower beads are a faux turquoise, maybe a ceramic bead? The terracota colour base comes through in the shatter lines. They are very light, which is always handy for earrings, and are the perfect size to encapsulate the skull beads. The skulls are a multicolour magnesite bead. A few turquoise colour and silver metallic seed beads, plus silver coloured earwires and these earrings are done.
